Fortunately, there are groups working at all levels of government to reduce the influence of money in politics. Their successes reinforce one another!

By coordinating all these efforts, a grass roots movement is being built that will touch every citizen in every city and town. Democracy Matters brings student voices to this movement, and ensures that students will play an important role in coalition with others.

Only with pressure at every level of government will local elected officials, state representatives, Governors, and members of Congress act to put an end to the present corrupting system of financing campaigns.
