Leafletting

This is a really effective coordinated campaign. It should work as follows:

1. Your group should create a one-page  newsletter (one side, black and white, looking like a newspaper; BUT with less text and perhaps a couple of graphics.  Like a flyer, it should be visually pleasing and easily readable, with plenty of white space. Ideally, each newsletter will mention three things: a) the problem of money-in-politics or voting b)a solutionc and c)  how to get involved with your DM with contact information for your DM President.

2. Hang these on the doors of bathroom stalls (you can headline with “Potty Politics”.

3. Or call the newsletter by a different name and give each DM member  enough copies to disributue in their classes. They should arrive at the classroom before the start of the class and place it on the seats. The basic idea is for people to read it while they are waiting for classes to begin.  If someone feels uncomfortable doing this in their own class, they just put them on desks in a classroom.

This is a great way to get others involved. You might hand this project over to a member of the group or ask a few members to write one paragraph each. For great ideas, see Sample Leaflets developed by other campuses.

Be sure to write in your OWN university name and your own contact information. Personalize it for your campus as much as you can.
